Know More About Fibromyalgia

Fibromygalia is not in your mind as many think and disapprove of any such disorder but in fact it happens to several people and women are more affected. Many health care professionals do not believe it as a disorder as no tests like blood tests, x-rays or any other tests show or give evidence of it. However studies and research have come out with some points that helps us to identify the symptoms of fibromyalgia and alleviate them.

The major sign is lack of sleep. They cannot achieve normal sleep cycle and get up during that sleep cycle when body repairs itself. In this the sufferer gets pain almost anywhere in the body. It is the non-progressive condition but the symptoms would be mild sometimes or severe. The pain starts in the joints and radiates to the muscles. These painful areas will be tender when touched known as tender points. Fibromyalgia is also known as fibrositis, psychogenic rheumatism and chronic muscle pain syndrome.

Other signs are: the person suffering will have a feeling of constant fatigue and even they take rest, Numbness and tingling in hands or feet, pain throughout body, headaches on regular basis and are related with stiffness and pain in neck and shoulders, hypersensitivity to things like noises, smells, touch and light, feeling of depression and mood changes. It may be the case that all the symptoms are not found in one person but these symptoms vary from person to person with different levels of intensity and at varying degree depending on the situation.

If you find these symptoms in you take an appointment with your health care professionals and discuss the symptoms. As Fibromyalgia is not curable but treatment is given to alleviate the symptoms.
