In the beginning of centuries Pneumonia caused largest number of death all over. With the invention of effective antibiotics the disease is completely curable but can still pose a threat if not treated early. It is nothing but inflammation of lungs caused by bacteria, viruses and mycoplasmas.
Studies reveal more than half of the pneumonia cases are due to virus with early symptoms like, throat infection, swelling of lymph nodes, chest pain along with headache and fever dry cough, discomfort while breathing, weakness, exhaustion, mild fever and chills. It is easily cured within few days and every traces of infection is removed within few weeks.
But bacterial pneumonia is severe and can produce intense symptoms in the form of high fever, excessive sweating, mucus-producing cough(green liquid), shortness of breath, chest pain, blueish color skin, abdominal pain, nausea, muscle pain, and body weakness. If the disease is in advanced stage you will notice the traces of blood in the cough.
The Mycoplasma pneumonia is mild as compared to other two, However it is highly contagious and affects to whomever comes in contact with the patient. It is not dangerous but if left untreated can have serious complications. The common symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia are dry cough and fever, sore throat, general feeling of tiredness and weakness and pain in joints.
