Every women feels complete when she is in the family way. When she conceives, she comes to know about it with some of the early symptom. Same is with the labor pains, the early signs in the form of changes that occur in the body prepares you for the child birth. The early symptoms of labor pains let you know that your due date of delivery is approaching.
Following are the early signs and symptoms that gives clearcut indication of the body preparing itself for childbirth:
Engagement Stage: as the due date approaches the baby's head starts coming towards pelvic area. This stage is called as the the dropping stage or engagement and this occurs due to softening of uterus. This will happen two or four weeks before and you will be able to breath easily and lessens your heartburn.
Pelvic Pressure: when the baby's head starts dropping in the pelvic region you are bound to feel the pressure as well as discomfort and pain in the pelvis. There is also pressure on bowel that makes you experience frequent bowel movement and an urge to urinate frequently. You will also notice swelling on hands and feet.
Braxton Hicks Constractions: the contractions women experience is different from actual labor contraction but it is the positive sign for approaching labor pains. This contraction occurs due to the stretching of lower uterus to settle the baby in pelvic area. The contractions aggravate when nearing to the delivery date and often confused with the labor pains.
Discharge: when the uterus softens you start getting white or pinkish vaginal discharge. If the discharge is yellowish or frothy one should immediately bring this matter to the doctor's notice.
Shivering: during this period you will feel feverish or trembling. This feeling arises due to the stress hormones or the change in the progesterone levels of your body.
