Strep throat which is caused by streptococcus bacteria which irritates the throat or cause severe pain in some cases. As it is a contagious disease it easily gets transmitted through air from already affected person who cough or sneeze. It left untreated it gets aggravated. Some of the given symptoms of strep throat are similar to that of influenza or a cold and one should be able to differentiate. Theinfluenza and cold makes your nose run whereas the strep throat does not. If the sore throat worsen even after taking normal medication, it is accompanied by headache and makes you feel extremely tired, all these symptoms point towards strep throat.
