Every organ in the body has its own significance and functions as the integral part of the body. Any malfunctioning in the body will definitely lead to some problems. The thyroid is the gland in the body which releases hormone that regulates metabolism, growth, the use of energy and vitamins. The thyroid problem comes in two forms either hyperthyroidism when the body produces too many hormones or hypothyroidism, when the gland does not secrete sufficient hormones.
Both the conditions have opposite reactions on the body. In hyperthyroidism the overactive thyroid makes the body energy increases manifold and causes heart problems, loss of bone and risk of developing complications during pregnancy. Whereas in hypothyroidism due to the slowed metabolism there is constant fatigue, modest weight gain, loss of hair, intolerance to cold and heart problems.
To know the early signs of any disease helps you to combat at an earliest. To some the hyperthyroidism may not show any symptoms but in some it may show

- loss of weight though the diet is constant
All these conditions point towards hyperthyroidism. To treat this proper treatment is must and if left untreated can lead to serious heart and bone problems or a serious condition which is known as thyroid storm.

- Extreme tiredness and sensitive to cold
